We were having this big school shindig at the park. Everyone was laughing & having fun, posing for pictures & whatnot. After one picture, I decided to be cool & hang out with one of my friends in her red car. In reality, I have no idea who this girl is, and no sophomore has a car (maybe she was older or something). She was Filipina. Anyway, her car was parked in the parking lot, in between two other cars. I looked out the window to my left & saw that the white car on the left was pulling out of the parking space. There was no driver. I said, with a bit of urgency in my voice, "Who's driving that car?" The car pulled out farther, and I repeated, "Who's driving that car?" It started to drive itself around the parking lot, and I shouted, "WHO'S DRIVING THAT CAR?!" Then, several other cars began to drive by themselves. A lot of parking spaces became free, since all the cars were pulling out of them. One car decided to pull into our parking space while we were in it, & my friend quickly drove into another space. Cars kept coming from all directions, so she sped away as fast as possible, with cars bumping into us until we got out of the area of parking spaces. I was giving instructions (as if I knew how to handle this sort of situation) as she drove the red car. When we neared an exit from the parking lot, I said, "Leave if you must." I really thought we should get out of there, but we didn't. She turned left, and drove around the perimeter of the parking lot until she got to a different way out. When the traffic light changed, she made a left turn & just kept driving.
She continued driving down this one road until she pulled over to the side. A rather large truck was coming from behind, and if we didn't pull over, it would have hit us. We dived out of the car & scurried to the sides of the road. I checked to see if the coast was clear, and I almost stumbled onto the road when two other cars drove by. My friend & her friend (there weren't two before) peeked out from behind a sign & decided that it was safe. There was this gas station in the middle of the road that, for some reason, we had to walk through & not drive. It looked more like a toll booth than a gas station, but I dream-thought that it was a gas station. We three girls ran through & just kept running.
"How far do we go?" the first friend asked. The other friend said, "Probably just up to the marker, if we're going to have to run back." I knew that "the marker" meant where the Acme was located. We ran & ran, taking weird detours in between parked trucks & in cave-like structures. Finally, we made it to our destination & decided we should stop at this Italian restaurant for dinner. It was evening by this time. There was no eating scene in the dream, but it just continued at the exiting of the restaurant. We were walking out in what looked like a parking garage, and I saw a girl from my grade, named Taylor. I wondered what she was doing there because we were all supposed to be at the school party. She greeted us & talked about the self-driven cars like it was no big deal. It was getting dark, so my Filipina friends & I decided we had to get back to the park & fast. We ran through the caves again, except this time it was too dark to see anything. I frantically asked, "How do we get through here again?!" and followed my friends' instructions (they thought it was the easiest thing to do). Then the first friend stopped & wanted to see where a hidden door led. I exclaimed, "There's no time for exploring!" She found out that the door led outside, although there was an exit in plain sight that led outside. I ran out the obvious exit with the second friend while the first one met us outside. Suddenly, the first friend decided she had to change her shoes. I urged her to hurry up because the second friend was getting very far ahead of us.
Although we just got outside, we were suddenly inside in what looked like a supermarket. We were still running, and I saw my ninth grade English teacher, Ms. Peters coming towards us. She gave me a look that meant, "What are you doing here?!" I yelled, "Don't ask!" and kept going. Then I cried out, "Am I going to get expelled?!" Ms. Peters said, "Well, ya shouldn't have been here in the first place!" Finally I exclaimed, "I'm getting kicked out of school, all because I went to the Acme!"
